Introduction

I’m looking to hire a new Laravel developer to work on Growth Method approximately 4-8 hours per week. Growth Method is an AI native project management tool for marketing teams. We’re the Linear for modern marketing. We have a number of early beta customers and an amazing app designer. The app is stable and has a clean and well structured codebase having been built and maintained by a senior developer up until this point.

The Stack

Growth Method is built on the TALL stack, hosted on Laravel Forge with a Laravel VPS and uses: All development work is tracked in GitHub, and all historical context is there.

We have a detailed documentation site at https://docs.growthmethod.com/ which as proven helpful in providing developer context for new features.

Upcoming Work

We use GitHub for everything, here are some of the issues I’d like to tackle in the short term:
  • Continue converting UI components to FluxUI
  • Standardise on PrismPHP for AI features
  • Improve self-serve signup
Longer term issues include: The foundation is really solid, hence a lot of the longer-term work is optimising and improving what already exists.

Are you a good fit?

As a solo-founder I’m keen to adopt “the Laravel way” where it makes sense to keep things simple and standardised. Hopefully that translates to you both enjoying working on the app and being able to move fast. I am bullish on AI so anything we can leverage to improve your workflow (eg Laravel Boost) I’m keen for us to try. The app also uses AI itself so the more you are interested in it the better. If you are apprehensive about the future of AI and it’s important for you to manually write every line of code this project is unlikely to be a good fit. I try to write detailed GitHub issues such that we can keep calls to a minimum but I’m on the phone or WhatsApp whenever you need. If a decision needs to be made on something we can make it together quickly - no stakeholders, no team, no managers. I like to see progress and updates every week but you can work any day of the week, and at any time you like. If you can’t work the odd week here or there because of holidays, needing a break or some other project taking priority that’s fine. If you send me an invoice, I’ll always pay it within a day or two.
